Terms of Use
The terms and conditions that govern your use of consultancygroup.com.
Last Updated 21 April 2026
By using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the site. These terms are separate from any written engagement agreement you may have with The Consultancy Group, which will govern any commercial relationship between us.
1. Acceptance of terms
These Terms of Use apply to your access to and use of consultancygroup.com (the "site"), operated by The Consultancy Group ("TCG", "we", "us"). By accessing the site, you agree to be bound by these terms. We may update these terms from time to time; the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page indicates the most recent revision.
2. About The Consultancy Group
The Consultancy Group is a specialist talent advisory and executive search firm, placing senior Finance, Tax, Strategy and Transformation leadership across the UK, Europe and the US. The site is used to describe what we do, to publish market insight, to list current mandates, and to receive enquiries from candidates and clients.
3. What the site is — and is not
The content on this site, including the roles listed on our Open Mandates page, is provided for general information. It is not an offer of employment, a binding commercial proposal, or advice on any specific matter. Any actual engagement with TCG — as a candidate, client, or supplier — is subject to a separate written agreement.
Job listings on the site are current at the time of publication but may close, be withdrawn, or change scope without notice. Nothing on the site should be relied on as a guarantee that a particular role remains available.
4. Permitted use
You may access and use this site for lawful, personal, and professional purposes connected with the services we offer. You may not:
- Use the site or its content in any way that breaches applicable law or regulation
- Copy, scrape, or systematically extract content from the site without our prior written consent
- Use any automated system, including bots, spiders, or scrapers, to access the site, other than those used by search engines in the normal course
- Interfere with the operation of the site or any network or service connected to it
- Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any organisation in connection with the site or any form submission
- Introduce any virus, malware, or other harmful code to the site
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or the systems supporting it
- Use the site to send unsolicited commercial communication or marketing material
5. Intellectual property
All content on this site — including text, graphics, logos, photographs, articles, market insight, and the "The Consultancy Group" name and marks — is the property of TCG or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may read, share, and quote reasonable extracts for non-commercial purposes with appropriate attribution. Any other reproduction, republication, or commercial use — including use for AI training or the creation of derivative datasets — requires our prior written consent.
6. Submissions
When you submit information to us through the site — for example, by registering your interest as a candidate, submitting a mandate, applying for a specific role, or contacting a consultant — you confirm that the information is accurate and that you are entitled to provide it.
The information you submit is handled in accordance with our Privacy Statement. We treat candidate and client submissions with discretion and will not share candidate details with any client without the candidate's prior agreement (see our GDPR Compliance page for detail).
7. Third-party sites and content
The site may contain links to third-party websites — for example, LinkedIn profiles of our consultants, partner firms, or external publications. We do not control and are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party sites. Linking does not imply endorsement.
8. Data protection
TCG is a data controller registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office. We handle personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Our practices are set out in our Privacy Statement and GDPR Compliance page.
9. Your rights as a data subject
Under UK GDPR, your rights include:
- The right to be informed
- The right of access
- The right to rectification
- The right to erasure
- The right to restrict processing
- The right to data portability
- The right to object
- Rights related to automated decision-making and profiling
Full details, and how to exercise these rights, are set out in our Privacy Statement. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
10. Disclaimer
The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we take reasonable care to ensure the information on the site is accurate at the time of publication, we do not warrant that it is complete, current, or error-free, nor that the site will be uninterrupted or secure. Nothing on the site constitutes specific legal, financial, career, or recruitment advice, and should not be relied on as such.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TCG is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such loss.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability which cannot lawfully be limited or excluded — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.
12. Cookies
The site uses cookies, as set out in our Cookie Policy. By continuing to use the site after setting your cookie preferences, you consent to our use of cookies in accordance with that policy.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms of Use and your use of the site are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising in connection with them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
