Employee Relations Specialist

Collaborating with a multinational company that hosts a great opportunity for an individual who’s passion to help develop the Employee relations hub acting as an advisory to the VP of People and the key stakeholders of the business. The role is a vital part of the infrastructure team and the wider HR function and is a hugely valued added role to support our most valuable assets, people.

 

  • Managing Code of Conduct HR led investigations from planning, through interviews and review of forensic information to completing detailed and balanced investigation summaries.
  • Propose creative and innovative ideas to increase employee engagement and retention.
  • Formulate and maintain effective and legally compliant HR / ER policies both locally and globally.
  • Where required partner with Independent Hearing Managers to complete grievance investigations and disciplinary processes (UK);
  • Ensuring the right balance of risk mitigation, engagement and fairness is delivered.
  • Proactively provide guidance to employees, managers, HR and other key stakeholders on the review and dispositioning of matters
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for an allocated area of ER knowledge / activity.
  • Understand the consequences of legal, compliance and governance issues, and their associated risks, and ensures they are effectively managed in all markets and reflected in HR practices.

To apply for this role, we are looking for the following experience:

  • Experience of managing the most sensitive and complex of people issues e.g.: end to end disciplinary, grievance and capability processes is essential.
  • Advanced up-to date knowledge of UK labour law. International Law would be an advantage
  • Ability to lead complex HR investigations.
  • Strong HR investigation and report writing skills and the ability to coach and develop others in this area is a must
  • You will have coached leaders across your business in management and resolving conflict.
  • You will be both resilient and optimistic, with a resourceful mindset and leadership skills, able to drive your team to success.
  • Experience of working within a complex organizational structure and ability to successfully navigate that structure is essential.
  • Experience of supporting litigation cases alongside Employment Legal is essential.

 

This role is a unique opportunity to start on a 6 months contract with the ability to extend, depending on performance and company demands.
