Role Objectives:
- Foster strong collaboration between finance and operations by serving as the primary liaison, ensuring alignment in timelines, objectives, and deliverables.
- Offer strategic commercial guidance and provide constructive challenges that optimize operational efficiency. Influence day-to-day decisions, shape the business’s strategy, and steer its direction.
- Develop robust budget and forecast submissions that align with the function’s strategic goals and the broader objectives of the organization.
- Take a holistic approach to functional expenditure across the division, providing an integrated perspective. Offer informed recommendations and drive desired outcomes when necessary.
- Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, actively promoting collaboration between finance and operations to ensure a unified understanding and alignment across the entire organization.
Key Accountabilities:
Business Partnering
- Serve as the primary Finance Business Partner for functional budget owners.
- Build relationships across the Finance community to gather inputs for consolidated reporting and analysis, involving multiple sources as necessary.
Budget
- Take ownership of the budget process, working closely with functional leaders and teams to deliver timely and accurate submissions.
- Prepare all relevant materials, including budget packs, commentaries, and analysis.
Month-end and Forecast
- Take responsibility for month-end activities, collaborating with the shared service center in India to provide guidance on accounting entries such as journals.
- Review and submit forecasts, providing comprehensive variance analysis, commentaries, and identifying risks and opportunities.
- Assist with Capex reviews and track investment cases when required.
Reporting
- Generate monthly forecast packs and present financial performance to the CFO/COO during quarterly forecast review meetings.
- Develop cost center reporting for sub-function owners.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and investment appraisal support as needed.
Strategic and Other Responsibilities
- Maintain cost control measures and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies
